Day 1 Tue. Launceston, Freedom of Choice Touring. Join a morning flight to Launceston, arriving before 12.40 p.m. Be welcomed on arrival and transferred to your hotel, then visit Cataract Gorge. Enjoy our Freedom of Choice Touring. Choose from Platypus House or Seahorse World. Tonight, enjoy our Welcome Drinks and Dinner with your fellow travellers. Launceston, Hotel Grand Chancellor. Dx1

Day 2 Wed. Wildlife Park, Freycinet National Park. During lavender flowering season (Dec.-Jan.), visit Bridestowe Lavender Farm to admire the picturesque purple-hued fields. Continue to East Coast Natureworld to see and learn more about many of Australia’s unique native animals, including the infamous Tasmanian Devil. In beautiful Freycinet National Park, we take a guided walk along Cape Tourville. Joined by our naturalist guide, admire the dramatic coastal scenery of Tasmania’s stunning east coast. Arrive at the world-renowned Freycinet Lodge and take time to relax in this environmentally-friendly resort with stunning views of the surrounding National Park. Coles Bay, Freycinet Lodge. Bx1 Dx1

Day 3 Thur. Tasman Peninsula, Port Arthur Historic Site, Crayfeast. Back on board your coach, traverse the Wielangta Forest Drive. View the spectacular Tasman Peninsula, including Tasman Arch, Devils Kitchen and Tessellated Pavement. Arriving at Port Arthur Historic Site, join a cruise on Mason Cove. Spend time exploring the Port Arthur Historic Site. Take the opportunity to play the ‘Lottery of Life’ game or stroll around the colourful gardens. Later, savour the flavours of a Tasmanian speciality – a delicious crayfish dinner (fresh seafood outside cray season). Day 4 Fri. Richmond, Hobart, Freedom of Choice Touring, Dine Around Dinner. This morning, visit the historic town of Richmond, to see the convict-built bridge and the quaint village buildings. Enjoy our Freedom of Choice Touring in Hobart. Visit Cadbury’s Chocolate Factory, Cascade Brewery (seasonal closures occur) or enjoy a locally guided historical walking tour of Hobart. Later, visit the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens. This evening, enjoy the freedom of our Dine Around Dinner. Day 5 Sat. Salamanca Place, Tahune AirWalk. Stroll through Salamanca Place and explore the colorful stalls at the Salamanca Markets at your leisure. This afternoon travel to the picturesque Huon Valley. Visit the Forest and Heritage Centre and join a guided walk among the tree tops on the Tahune AirWalk. Return to Hobart and ascend Mt Nelson for fabulous views. Bx1

Day 6 Sun. Russell Falls, World Heritage Lake St Clair, West Coast Wilderness Railway. Follow the Derwent Valley to Mt Field National Park, where a short walk brings us to stunning Russell Falls. Experience tranquillity as you let the sound of rushing water and forest scents permeate your senses. Enter the awe-inspiring forests of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area to Lake St Clair. Relax and admire views of the nation’s deepest lake before continuing to Queenstown. Join the restored West Coast Wilderness Railway and ride aboard elegant brass and timber carriages as they travel through the forest. Day 7 Mon. World Heritage Wilderness, Gordon River Cruise, Dine Around Dinner. Explore Tasmania’s breathtaking World Heritage wilderness. Boarding the Lady Jane Franklin II, join a cruise along the mighty Gordon River with guaranteed window seating. Experience the majesty of this place, stopping at Heritage Landing for a walk through ancient rainforest. Visit the infamous penal colony of Sarah Island. This afternoon, explore the picturesque town of Strahan, then dine at either the View 42º or at Hamer's Hotel. Later, you have the opportunity to see a local play on the area's convict history. Day 8 Tue. Dove Lake, Cradle Mountain, Freedom of Choice Touring. Journey to Cradle Mountain and with a local guide, travel to Dove Lake. Visit the Cradle Mountain Information Centre to learn more about this region. See Waldheim Chalet before selecting a Freedom of Choice activity that suits you. Sample some of Tasmania’s finest wines and cheeses; take a guided alpine flora and fauna walk; join a Night Spotlight Tour in search of wildlife or indulge yourself at the Waldheim Alpine Spa (limited availability). Day 9 Wed. The Nut, Woolnorth, Cape Grim, Smithton. Visit the far north-west reaches of the Tasmanian island. See 'The Nut' at Stanley and tour Woolnorth wind farm. Perched high on the windswept cliffs of a rugged but majestic coastline, Woolnorth is the state’s largest wind farm. At nearby Cape Grim, breathe in the cleanest air in the world and then enjoy afternoon tea before arriving at Smithton. Smithton, Tall Timbers Hotel/Motel. Bx1 Dx1

Day 10 Thur. Sheffield Murals, Ashgrove Cheese Factory, Woolmers Estate. We head into Devonport and then continue on to Sheffield. Free time allows us to explore this quaint town where over 30 murals have been painted on many of the buildings’ walls. This afternoon, sample more of Tasmania’s tasty gourmet foods with a tour and tasting at Ashgrove Cheese Factory. Ashgrove uses traditional recipes and techniques to produce superior handmade cheeses. Later, take a fully guided tour of historic Woolmers Estate and stroll through the National Rose Garden. Day 11 Fri. Historic Ross, Farewell Dinner. This morning we travel around the Great Lake and over the Great Western Tiers to historic Ross. View the famous bridge and explore the quaint heritage township. Tonight, enjoy a final evening of indulgence. Get together with newly-found friends for our special Farewell Dinner.
