Day 1. Cairns. You are welcomed on arrival in Cairns and transferred to your
hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore or settle in. Four Night Stay:
Cairns The Hotel Cairns (Standard), Rydges Tradewinds Hotel
(First-Class), Shangri-La The Marina (Deluxe).
Day 2. Great Barrier Reef Quicksilver Cruise. Enjoy a full day cruise to the
World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef. Stretching for over 1,250 miles, the
Great Barrier Reef is visible from outer space and is composed of more than
2,800 individual reefs. Head to the Outer Reef, stopping at Agincourt Reef, the
only ribbon reef accessible on a day trip. Here, you can snorkel with tropical
fish, view the coral from aboard the semi-submersible or discover the marine
world from the underwater observatory. Enjoy a tropical buffet lunch on board
as you soak up the North Queensland sun. Then cruise to Port Douglas, before
taking a scenic drive to Cairns. Lx1
Day 3. Skyrail, Rainforestation, Pamagirri Dancers, Kuranda Train. This
morning, join the Skyrail Cableway for a journey above the tropical rain forest
canopy. You have the chance to disembark at two mid-stations and explore the
environment up close. Then join the ranger on the boardwalk tour, see Barron
Falls and visit the Interpretive Centre. Later, visit Rainforestation. See a
traditional cultural performance by the Pamagirri Aboriginal Dancers and be
escorted on a Dreamtime Walk. Witness spear throwing, didgeridoo playing and
try your hand at throwing a boomerang. Enjoy a ride in the unique Army Duck,
taking you deep into the rain forest by both land and water. Visit the wildlife
enclosure and have your photo taken with a koala (own expense). Then join the
Kuranda Scenic Railway, winding along a magnificent mountain range covered with
lush rain forest and majestic, tumbling waterfalls.
Day 4. Cairns Enjoy the morning free before transferring to the airport for
your return flight.

Day 1 Thur. Sydney, Coffs Harbour. Depart Sydney and head north of the
state to the subtropical resort town of Coffs Harbour. Tonight, enjoy a welcome
dinner with your tour director, coach captain and travelling companions. Stay:
Coffs Harbour, Novotel Pacific Bay Resort. Dx1
Day 2 Fri. Byron Bay, Brisbane. Travel to Byron Bay, famous for its
bohemian lifestyle, unspoilt beaches and coastal scenery. Watch the surfers and
maybe even see dolphins off the point. Cape Byron is the most easterly point on
the Australian mainland and is an excellent place to watch the humpback whales
which travel along the coastline (Jun.Jul.). Cross over the Queensland
border to its capital city, Brisbane. This evening, stay at the Royal on the
Park, conveniently located in the heart of the city, next to the lush Botanic
Gardens. Stay: Brisbane, Royal on the Park. Bx1
Day 3 Sat. Brisbane, Fraser Island. Visit Australia Zoo, home to over a
thousand native and exotic animals and the amazingly adventurous Irwin family.
Afterwards, we continue north to the Sunshine Coast, famous for its golden
beaches fringed with native bush. Arriving in Hervey Bay, we join a cruise to
magnificent World Heritage-listed Fraser Island. Two Night Stay: Fraser Island,

Day 4 Sun. Fraser Island, Freedom of Choice Touring, Bush Tucker Talk
& BBQ. Choose from a tour of Lake McKenzie and surrounding rainforest, or a
whale or dolphin watching cruise (seasonal). Perhaps upgrade your Freedom Of
Choice Touring to an Adventure Option an enthralling full-day 4WD Beach
and Lakes Tour around this pristine island (Additional cost). Later, join a
park ranger for an exclusive Bush Tucker Talk, before a delicious barbecue

Day 5 Mon. Rockhampton, Botanic Gardens. Return to the mainland this
morning, cross the Tropic of Capricorn on your way to Rockhampton. Explore the
Botanic Gardens with its excellent specimens of palms, cycads and ferns
throughout the beautifully manicured gardens.
OPTIONAL UPGRADE - Henderson Park Cattle Ranch Stay Stay overnight at a working
cattle ranch, enjoying a barbecue dinner and an evening by the campfire.

Day 6 Tue. Henderson Park, Mackay, Whitsunday Cruise to Hamilton Island.
Visit Henderson Park Cattle Station operated by a local family since 1908.
Afterwards, we join a scenic cruise from Shute Harbour across to the largest
inhabited island in the Whitsundays; Hamilton Island. Two Night Stay: Hamilton
Island Resort, stay in Guaranteed Coral View rooms at Reef View Hotel. Bx1
Day 7 Wed. Hamilton Island, Dine Around Dinner Spend your day at leisure,
choosing from over 40 different activities offered on the island. Relax by one
of the seven luxurious pools, wander the shops down at the marina or take a day
trip out to the pristine Whitehaven Beach (own expense). With a year-round
temperature of 27.4C, you are sure to relish your free time on this tropical
island. In the evening enjoy pre-dinner drinks as you watch the sun set over

Day 8 Thur. Whitsundays Cruise, Mission Beach, Dunk Island. Today,
cruise through the Whitsunday Passage back to the mainland. Stop in Townsville,
the centre for marine research for the Great Barrier Reef. From Mission Beach,
we will cruise to Dunk Island, another beautiful tropical rainforest island.
Tonight, enjoy dinner and unwind as the tour allows a comfortable two night
stay on this idyllic island resort. Two Night Stay: Dunk Island Resort, Garden

Day 9 Fri. At Leisure on Dunk Island. Today has been left at leisure for
you to relax at the resort or explore the nearby reef and rainforest. You could
start the day with a rainforest walk and take in the spectacular views from the
summit of Mt Kootaloo. Or perhaps you could discover the vibrant marine wonders
of the Great Barrier Reef (own expense). Bx1
Day 10 Sat. Atherton Tablelands, Port Douglas, Dine Around Dinner
Explore the lush Atherton Tablelands with its rich volcanic soil, high rainfall
and spectacular waterfalls. Hop on a wildlife cruise at Lake Barrine formed by
volcanic processes and surrounded by lush rainforest. Afterwards, enjoy a short
walk to beautiful Millaa Millaa Falls and then marvel at the unusual Curtain
Fig Tree. Travel to the resort town of Port Douglas and choose to dine at a
selected local restaurant along the renowned Macrossan Street or enjoy dinner
and a quiet evening at the resort. Stay: Port Douglas, Mantra Treetops Resort

Day 11 Sun. Quicksilver Barrier Reef Cruise, Freedom of Choice Touring.
Cruise aboard the Wavepiercer and go snorkelling on the reef. Visit
Low Isles on the Wavedancerwhere you can experience an unspoilt
coral Island, or if youre looking for adventure take the
Silversonic on a reef discovery. Two Night Stay: Cairns, Rydges

Day 12 Mon. Cairns, Kuranda, Farewell Dinner. Journey aboard the Kuranda
Scenic Railway up to Rainforestation Nature Park where you will be treated by
the Pamagirri Aboriginal Dancers. Theres also time to ride aboard the
Army Duck for a journey on land and through water. Later traverse the Kuranda
Skyrail, and glide just meters above the rainforest canopy, passing the lush
Cairns Highlands and waterfalls as we journey down the range. This evening
enjoy our special Farewell Dinner at Cairns Night Zoo a great Australian

Day 13 Tue. Cairns Enjoy a leisurely morning in Cairns. This afternoon
transfer to Cairns Airport.

Day 1 Brisbane to Fraser Island Drive through Noosa and stop to explore
the elegant boutiques, bistros and beachfront apartments of Hastings Street.
Take a short stroll through the beaches and bush of Noosa National Park,
pausing at lookouts with panoramic views. Back on the road, youll pass
through the gold rush town of Gympie and Maryborough, Queensland's oldest
provincial city. Watch whales from Hervey Bay or catch a boat to World
Heritage-listed Fraser Island, the worlds largest sand island, just north
of Rainbow Beach. Hire a four wheel drive or join a tour to see the
islands attractions, from beautiful Lake McKenzie to the rainforest near
Central Station and the coloured cliffs of the Cathedrals. You could extend
your stay with a few nights in a resort, cabin or tent on the beach. Woodgate

Day 2 Fraser Island to Bundaberg Cross back to the mainland and continue
your journey to Bundaberg, a historic sugar cane city and gateway to the
southern Great Barrier Reef. Wander past gracious colonial buildings and cruise
down the Burnett River. Watch sea turtles nest and hatch on the small beach of
Mon Repos. Then snorkel and dive the coral reefs and cays of Lady Musgrave
Island and Lady Elliot Island, also home to a large population of manta rays.
Swim or fish at Elliot Heads, dive from Coral Cove and Innes Park or spot
kangaroos in Woodgate Beach - just some of the attractions along
Bundabergs pristine 140-kilometre long coastline. Great Keppel Island,

Day 3 Bundaberg to Rockhampton Journey north through Gin Gin and the
scenic beachside Town of 1770, named after the year it was discovered by
Captain Cook. On a detour inland, you can bushwalk the lush rainforest of Cania
Gorge National Park and marvel at the ancient Mystery Craters in Eurimbula
National Park. Next stop is the green city of Gladstone, surrounded by
rainforest gorges, lakes and beaches stretching to the Great Barrier Reef.
Arrive in Rockhampton and take a coral cruise to Great Keppel Island, snorkel
at Shelving Beach, Monkey Point or Clam Bay or wander the Botanic Gardens. When
youve worked up an appetite, test out Rockhamptons reputation as
Australias beef capital and order a mouth-watering steak. Mackay, QLD
Day 4 Rockhampton to Mackay Head to the Capricorn Caves, spectacular
above-ground caves in a limestone ridge. Further north is the charming tropical
village of Yeppoon, gateway to the Capricorn Coast and Byfield National Park.
Here you can birdwatch, bushwalk through rainforest and fish from the beach.
Continue north to Mackay, where you can lunch at the marina, do a heritage walk
and walk, swim and fish from the city beaches of Lambert, Town, Illawong,
Harbour, Bucasia, Blacks and Eimeo. Meet possums, kangaroos, bush turkeys and
echidnas on the beaches of Cape Hillsborough National Park. Do a day trip to
the Brampton and Carlisle Islands in the southern Whitsundays. Snorkel or dive
the Llewellyn shipwreck and pristine coral gardens near uninhabited Scawfell
Island. Eungella National Park, QLD
Day 5 Mackay to Townsville Detour west to the subtropical oasis of
Eungella National Park. Back on the coast youll pass through Proserpine
and Airlie Beach, both mainland gateways to the Whitsundays. Explore some of
the 74 palm-fringed islands on a day trip or chartered sail boat. Dont
miss Whitsunday Island and the white, silica sands of Whitehaven Beach.Your
journey continues north through mango orchards and green sugar cane fields to
Townsville. Wander the scenic beach promenade, soak up the balmy nightlife and
take a catamaran to the beaches and national parks of Magnetic Island. Carins,

Day 6 Townsville to Cairns Known as the Great Green Way, this 350
kilometre journey takes you through 12 national parks and over 20 tropical
islands. Drive through the living museum of Charters Towers, detour to Paluma
National Park or explore Tyoto Wetlands near Ingham. Visit Wallaman Falls,
Australia's highest single drop waterfall. Explore Hinchinbrook Island,
Australias largest island national park or walk along breathtaking
Mission Beach. Check out the Chinese temple and art deco buildings in Innisfail
