3 Day Rock and Kings Canyon Independent
Tours from Alice Springs
Day 1. Kata Tjuta (Olgas), Uluru (Ayers Rock). Depart Alice Springs, visiting
the Camel Farm and view Atila (Mt Conner) before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort.
This afternoon drive out to the magnificent domes of Kata Tjuta, 36 dramatic
domes. Follow the natural creek bed deep into majestic Walpa (Olga) Gorge.
Later in the afternoon travel to Uluru and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine
while watching the show of changing colours on the rock at sunset. Tonight you

Day 2. Uluru Sunrise, Mutitjulu, Mala Walk, Guided Base Tour, Uluru Climb,
Kings Canyon. Enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee while watching the first
light of the new day strike Uluru. Join a guided base tour of Uluru.
Alternatively forgo the guided Mutitjulu and Mala walks to make the 348-metre
climb to the summit of Uluru. Visit the Uluru and Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre.
Later this afternoon travel to stunning Kings Canyon Resort in Watarrka

Day 3. Kings Canyon, Kings Creek Station. Enjoy a guided walk around the rim of
Kings Canyon and through the Lost City and Garden of
Eden (requires a good degree of fitness). See the towering walls and
unique plant life. An alternative easy walk along the canyon floor is
available. This afternoon travel through some of the vast cattle properties of
Central Australia, stopping at Kings Creek Station before arriving in the
famous town of Alice Springs at approximately 6.30 p.m.
3 Day Uluru, Kings Canyon, Alice
Springs
Day 1. Cultural Centre, Uluru (Ayers Rock) Base Tour, Sunset Drinks Be met at
Ayers Rock Airport prior to 1.00 p.m. and transfer to your hotel. Visit the
Cultural Centre, then join a guided walk to Mutitjulu waterhole. Tour the base
of Uluru and learn about the region on the Mala Walk. Later, enjoy a glass of
wine and admire Uluru at sunset. Stay: Ayers Rock Resort - Outback Pioneer

Day 2. Kata Tjuta (Olgas), Walpa (Olga) Gorge, Kings Canyon Witness an Uluru
sunrise then drive to Kata Tjuta and walk into Walpa Gorge. This afternoon

Day 3. Kings Canyon Guided Walk, Alice Springs Choose from two guided walks at
Kings Canyon. Head to Alice Springs, arriving at 6.30 p.m.

Day 1. Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kata Tjuta (Olgas). Welcomed on arrival at Ayers
Rock Airport prior to 1.00 p.m. for transfer to your hotel. Travel to the
western section of the park to tour the domes of Kata Tjuta. Walk into Walpa
(Olga) Gorge and marvel at the sheer walls that flank you as you enter the
gorge. Later, enjoy a complimentary glass of wine while admiring the changing
colors of Uluru at sunset. Stay: Ayers Rock Resort Outback Pioneer Lodge
(Budget, shared facilities), Outback Pioneer Hotel (Standard), Desert Gardens

Day 2. Uluru at Sunrise, Mutitjulu, Mala Walk. Rise early and enjoy a tea or
coffee as the sun casts its first rays on Uluru. Take a guided walk to
Mutitjulu waterhole, a sacred Aboriginal hunting ground. See ancient cave
paintings and hear the legends of Kuniya Tjukurpa (Python Dreaming). Tour the
base of Uluru then join your guide to learn about the geology and flora of the
region on the Mala Walk. Explore Kantju Gorge then visit the Cultural Centre
and Maruku Arts and Craft Cooperative. Or forgo the guided walks to climb
Uluru. Transfer to Ayers Rock Airport for flights after midday.

Day 1. Darwin. On arrival be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a free day to

Day 2. Kakadu, Yellow Water Cruise, Nourlangie Rock. In Kakadu National Park

billabong. After lunch, visit Nourlangie Rock to see Aboriginal rock art. Stay:

Day 3. Ubirr Art, East Alligator River Cruise. Perhaps fly over Arnhem Land
(own expense). View rock art at Ubirr, cruise the East Alligator River with an
Aboriginal guide, visit the Bowali Visitor Centre, enjoy a glass of wine at
Window on the Wetlands then return to Darwin. Stay: Darwin (refer to Day 1).
